Groucho Marx - The Story Of Mankind

In 1957, Irwin Allen ("The Towering Inferno") produced a film entitled "The Story Of Mankind" that featured a star-studded cast showcasing centuries of history wrapped around a story involving the fate of mankind.

This film marked the final appearance of The Marx Brothers together on the silver screen (albeit separately).

In this scene, the transaction of island of Manhattan by Peter Minuit is used as a demonstration of man's deceptive nature. And how, by showcasing Groucho as Minuit, does this work? The secret word is "odd".

Interesting note: the Indian girl is played by Eden Hartford, Groucho's current spouse at the time. You bet your wife!
