Jackie Robinson and Roberto Clemente had a profound impact on MLB, but history can often distort their legacies. The impact they had on Black and Latino baseball players sometimes get overlooked how they advocated for all people of color and members of the African diaspora.

Henry Aaron is baseball's home run champion but baseball still refuses to call him by his real name. The importance of spelling and saying a player's name right, especially Black and Latino players, is the bare minimum media members should strive for.

Black MLB players are less common than they were in the 70s and 80s, but why is that the case and what can be done to fix it?
