This is a great tasting easy to make Shepherd's/Cottage Pie recipe that everyone young and old will enjoy. This dish is great because it can be made a couple of days before. Just bake it for 45 minutes the day of.

Ingredients:
3.5lb russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 tsp Salt (adjust to taste if needed)
1/2 tsp Pepper (adjust to taste if needed)
1 tsp Garlic Powder
4 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 cup butter
2 lb. ground beef or lamb
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
12oz Package of Frozen Peas and Carrots
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. of tomato paste
2 tbsp. fresh thyme leaves, chopped (2 tsp dried)
2 tbsp. fresh rosemary (2 tsp dried)
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 cup red wine
1 can (10.5 oz.) beef consommé or 1 1/2 cups beef or chicken stock
3/4 cup sour cream
1/3 cup of milk
2 large egg yolks
About 8 oz. shredded white cheddar
