Sweetfish fishing is a typical fishing method that takes advantage of the territorial habits of sweetfish, and in the Ouchiyama River in Taiki Town, approximately 270,000 young sweetfish were released in preparation for the opening.
On the 11th, as soon as dawn broke, many anglers entered the river and, skillfully using long rods of about 9 meters, caught sweetfish that had grown to about 17 centimeters in length one after another.
Sweetfish fishing can be enjoyed until the end of September.
