Hi.

So uh, I haven't really done original music or vocal covers in a very long time. I want to be transparent and say that I don't have the best relationship with it. I associate vocal covers and the vocal cover community with a lot of personal traumas. So much pressure was put on me as a kid to succeed and as an adult, it's almost impossible to create something with my voice and be satisfied. That-- along with having a somewhat unstable persona-- I am unsure how people perceive me-- it makes things just kinda, complicated.

I love PORTALS, I love Melanie, and I have wanted to cover the songs from the album, but I've been scared. I'm fearful that what I produce isn't good enough, but I want to start doing the things I enjoy again.

This songs means so much to me. It's truly expressed what I've felt in times of turmoil.

This cover and the artwork are what I see and feel when I hear this song, it uses my old persona from 2020. I went to both the PORTALS Tour and The Trilogy Tour and each time I heard this song, I thought of the same thing. /pos
This cover also doesn't really have any vocal correction and the mixing is rather raw.
