Breaking Broomstick (RoughCut)
A thin (about 1in square) pine dowel is broken with a swift swing of an aluminum lab post. The ends of the dowel are propped up on blocks that stand atop force plates that record the impulse of the strike from the perspective of the dowel ends. Various attempts are made.
