After living in Japan for 4.5 years, I’m traveling to Colombia to visit my Japanese sister who’s been living in this South American country for 12 years and her 2 sons. This is a family reunion we’d been longing for a very long time.

My Colombian family lives in a village on the outskirts of Bogota called La Mesa. It’s a small, but very active town.
