The Furukawa Festival, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage, kicked off on the 19th April in Furukawa Town, Hida City, Gifu Prefecture. That night, the festival’s highlight, Okoshi-Daiko, took over the town center as groups of men, dressed in traditional sarashi cloth, collided with powerful energy.
