The Psychology of Writer’s Block and What to Do About it

You’ve probably experienced it before: The existential dread of the blank page. The frantic racking of your brain for something to fill it with. The drive to create, to make something new, but a mental blockage stopping you from coming up with any ideas. It’s called many things: Writer’s block, creative blocks, the midnight disease-- regardless of what you call it, it sucks.

While there are many videos on how to be creative, there aren’t as many about how to snap out of the creative funk. So, in this video, we’re going over the science of writer’s block and, in the process, hopefully coming up with a few suggestions to come out of it.

This video is, paradoxically, inspired by writer’s block. Because only my brain says “hey, you know that thing causing you massive anxiety?! Why don’t you focus on it more and make a video!”
