The US President is seeming to side with Russia's President Vladimir Putin over the push to end the conflict in Ukraine. Simultaneously, Mr Trump and his vice president JD Vance are criticising Europe.

Hannah Barnes is joined by historian, author and emeritus professor of war studies and King's College London, Lawrence Freedman, to discuss the situation.
