Indy 500 rookie David Malukas crashes during Carb Day practice at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
David Malukas, who will start 13th in the 2022 Indy 500, touched wheels with Santino Ferrucci entering Turn 1, lost control in the turn and hit the outside wall. He exited the car on his own but the car will need a lot of work heading into the race. Ferrucci's car appeared to be undamaged, but he was penalized for initiating contact, losing 20 minutes of practice time.
