Zao Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture is one of the most famous hot springs and ski resorts in Japan. Especially in winter, many tourists visit to see the ice tree, also known as Snow Monster or Ice Monster. It's called “juhyo” in Japanese.

We leave early in the morning from Yamagata City at the foot of Zao to see the Snow Monsters. We also bathe in Zao Onsen Hot Spring, which is reputed to make your skin smooth and smooth.
