Kiera's Kwanzaa Vlogzaa 2021 -

I used to celebrate Kwanzaa as a kid. I went to an African-centered elementary/middle school from grade 1-8 and we engaged in the celebration of our African culture year round, from our required kente uniform vest to our annual seasonal celebration. Embracing my blackness and heritage has been instilled in me since my childhood. Now this was my first time celebrating Kwanzaa as an adult and I think I did a pretty decent job of putting the weeks festivities in full effect.

A special s/o to my mom who not only supported be in all my craziness with putting this week together but she cooked her behind off.

& s/o to my friends and family who pulled up throughout the week. You all truly made my Kwanzaa celebration feel complete.

Kwanzaa is defined as a secular festival observed by many African Americans from December 26 - January 1. It is a celebration of their African cultural heritage and traditional values. It was created by Dr. Ron Karenga in 1966 because he sought to equip his people with tools of hope.
