Off the coast of Tanabe in Wakayama Prefecture, we aimed to catch a good-sized horse mackerel. Our fishing advisor was Hirofumi Morimoto of Daiichi Seiko.
We used the Bachikon Ajing fishing method. First, we dropped a jig head worm with a weight attached to it to the bottom, and then we lured it up by making a little movement. At this time of year, we are not aiming for a lot of fish, but for large horse mackerel of 30cm to 50cm. We don't get many bites, but we can expect to catch some big ones.
The pattern for this day was to cast lightly, take the bottom, and then reel it in while making some movement. We finally caught a good-sized horse mackerel. After that, we caught more and more delicious horse mackerel, enjoying the unique pull of the horse mackerel. Furthermore, a surprise guest appeared with the Bachikon Ajing fishing method. We caught a small Spanish mackerel, a Spanish mackerel, and explained how to kill it and how to drain the blood so that it would taste delicious.
