Museums have a major problem: they are a battleground for decent employment. Staff are overworked, underpaid, and unappreciated for the work they do, regardless of if they work the front of house, security, or with the collections.
I wanted to explore how widespread this issue of poor employment with museums extends, so I invited a few guests to chat with me about their experiences in the sector.
