Buttermilk Cranberry Scones w/ Vanilla Glaze | Day 9 | 12 Days of Cookies & Holiday Treats 🎄
Hello Everyone!
Merry Christmas 🎄
Buttermilk Cranberry Scones with Vanilla Glaze
3 C. Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
1/3 C. Granulated Sugar
2 1/2 t. Baking Powder
1/2 t. Baking Soda
1 t. Salt
3/4 C. Frozen Unsalted Butter (1 1/2 Stick)
1 C. Cold Buttermilk
1 C. Dried Cranberries rehydrated in very warm water, for 20 minutes, then drained. You can also use fresh cranberries instead of dried (1 & 1/3 C.)
Bake @400 degrees 15-18 Minutes
Makes 12-16 Scones
Vanilla Glaze*
2 T. Unsalted Butter melted, cooled
1 1/2 C. Confectioner's Sugar (powder sugar)
Pinch of Salt about (1/8 t.)
1/4 t. Vanilla Extract
3-4 T. Half in Half
*If you are not using the vanilla glaze, follow this step:
2 T. Half n Half or Heavy Cream for brushing the tops of scones
2 t. Raw Sugar or Granulated Sugar to sprinkle on top of scones
before baking.
