Young Thug’s Lawyer Joins Diddy’s Trial Defense Team
Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel has joined Sean “Diddy’ Combs’ criminal defense team.
The Georgia-based lawyer will represent Diddy alongside New York-based lawyers Teny Geragos and Marc Agnifilio.
Steel disclosed his contempt of court arrest in the YSL trial in his application for pro hac vice admission in the Southern District of New York.
“On June 10, 2024, I was held in contempt by a Superior Court Judge in Fulton County, Georgia in State of Georgia v. Jeffery Williams et al., Case Number 22SC 183 572 when the judge wrongfully ordered that I reveal privileged information.”
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian authorized Steel's admission today (Thursday, April 17). Diddy is due in court tomorrow for a status conference. His lawyers are trying to get the trial delayed two months in part because they believe prosecutors are purposely avoiding obtaining information from Victim 4 because they don’t want to give it to Diddy.
