अरे मन! हरि, हरिजन नहिं दोय।
जहँ हरि तहँ हरिजन, जहँ हरिजन, तहँ हरि विलग न होय।
दोऊ रहत दास दोउन को, मरम न जाने कोय।
दोउ कर पर उपकार निरंतर, पतितन-मन मल धोय।
जल, तरंग दोउ नाम उपाधी, वस्तुतस्तु इक सोय।
पै ‘कृपालु’ हरिजन रूपी हरि, ही सों स्वारथ तोय।।

भावार्थ – हे मन! श्री कृष्ण एवं उनके भक्त वस्तुतः पृथक् नहीं हैं। जहाँ श्रीकृष्ण रहते हैं वहीं भक्त रहते हैं, एवं जहाँ भक्त रहते हैं वहीं श्रीकृष्ण रहते हैं। ये दोनों एक दूसरे से पृथक् किसी भी काल में हो ही नहीं सकते।

“मयि ते तेषु चाप्यहम्” (गीता) श्रीकृष्ण एवं उनके भक्त एक दूसरे को प्रसन्न करते हुए एक दूसरे के भक्त बने रहते हैं। इस रहस्य को बड़े-बड़े विद्वान् भी नहीं समझ पाते हैं। दोनों ही निरन्तर परोपकार की भावना से सांसारिक पतित जीवों के मन के महान् से महान् पापों को धोया करते हैं। जैसे जल एवं तरंग ये दोनों नाम औपाधिक रूप से ही हैं, वास्तव में दोनों ही नाम एक ही वस्तु के हैं। ‘श्री कृपालु जी’ कहते हैं कि – यद्यपि दोनों एक हैं फिर भी तुझे तो भक्त रूपी भगवान् से ही काम है। भगवान् रूपी भक्त तो भक्ति प्राप्त होने के बाद ही काम आयेंगे।

Meaning – “Oh my mind! There is no difference between Bhagwan Kṛishṇa and His devotees, the saints. Bhagwan Kṛishṇa is where His devotees are, and His devotees are where He is. They can never be separated from each other. (Mayi te teshu chāpyaham – Gītā). Their only aim being the happiness of the other, they always remain servitors of each other. The comprehension of this mysterious phenomenon is beyond the intelligence of even the greatest minds of the universe. The Lord and His saints both selflessly and unceasingly wash even the greatest sins inherent in the hearts of the fallen worldly souls. They can be likened to water and its waves, who although different in names, are one and the same.” Jagadguru Shrī Kripālu Jī says, “Although God and the saints are one and the same, yet your aim will be fulfilled only through the God in the guise of a saint, because saintly God will be of use only after the attainment of devotion.”
