In a case where a couple in their 70s were found dead in a house in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture on May 9th and their 16-year-old grandson was arrested, it has been revealed that the cause of death of the couple was hemorrhagic shock.

According to the police, a 16-year-old boy, a second-year high school student living in Tahara City, was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his 75-year-old grandfather, who lived with him, in the neck with a knife at around 2:00 a.m. on the 9th, and has admitted to the charges.

At the scene of the crime, his 72-year-old grandmother was also found dead with cuts all over her body, and the boy has made a statement that hinted at the murder of his grandmother.

The autopsy revealed that the cause of death of the two was hemorrhagic shock due to blood vessels being cut in the neck, and the murder weapon was a kitchen knife that was in the home.

The two were found in their pajamas, and the police believe that they may have been attacked while sleeping, and are investigating the motive and circumstances.
