About sound masking
Sound masking is a technology that ‘masks’ unpleasant ambient sounds (noise or noises) with other sounds. Sound masking uses the characteristics of human hearing. By superimposing pleasant sounds that are close in frequency and intensity to the disturbing sound, it makes the disturbing sound less audible and does not interfere with concentration.

About noise cancelling
The term ‘noise cancelling’ is generally used to mean ‘sound suppression’, but strictly speaking it refers to ‘canceling out sounds of a specific frequency with sounds of the opposite phase’.
Noise-cancelling earphones use a microphone to pick up ambient noise, and a speaker to emit a sound in the opposite phase to cancel it out.

There are two main types of noise cancelling technology
1. active noise cancellation (ANC)
2. passive noise cancellation (PNC)
ANC technology cancels out noise by picking up ambient noise with a microphone and emitting a sound in the opposite phase through the speakers. It is used in noise cancelling earphones and headphones.
PNC is a technology that blocks sound with physical sound insulation materials such as earplugs or earpads. The sound is physically blocked out by earpieces that are shaped to the ear and a sealed housing.

I think the video on my channel is a combination of ANC and PNC by listening to certain frequencies of sound with noise cancelling earphones. So it would be sound masking when you listen with normal earphones or speakers, and noise cancelling sound masking when you listen with noise cancelling earphones? But it's Nature Sound Noise Cancelling Sound Masking because the frequencies are created by processing the sounds of nature? LOL.
