Tensions are rising on NATO’s eastern flank after a Russian fighter jet violated Estonia’s airspace. The aircraft was reportedly surveilling a military operation intercepting one of Moscow’s shadow fleet tankers. The incident took place while the EU is working on the 17th sanctions package aimed at countering Russia’s shadow fleet activities.
