नवरात्र में भक्‍त मां की अपार कृपा पाने के लिए 9 दिनों का व्रत करते हैं। मान्‍यता है कि यह 9 दिनों का व्रत कन्‍या पूजन से ही संपन्‍न होता है इसलिए कन्‍याओं को मां दुर्गा का प्रतीक मानकर उनका पूजन किया जाता है। इससे देवी मां अत्‍यंत प्रसन्‍न होती हैं और भक्‍तों को आशीर्वाद देते हैं। लेक‍िन ध्‍यान रखें क‍ि कन्‍या पूजन के भी कुछ न‍ियम हैं, ज‍िनका पालन करना जरूरी होता है। तो आइए जानते हैं कि कन्‍या पूजन की व‍िध‍ि क्‍या है? और वह कौन सी बातें हैं ज‍िनके पालन से देवी मां अत्‍यंत प्रसन्‍न होती हैं और अपना आशीर्वाद देती हैं|
कन्या पूजन नवरात्र में सप्तमी, अष्टमी या नवमी में से अपने परिवार की रीत के अनुसार किसी भी दिन किया जाता है। कन्या पूजा के दिन का चयन अपने परिवार की रीत के अनुसार किया जाना चाहिए| ख्‍याल रखें कि कन्याओं की उम्र 2 से 9 साल के बीच होनी चाहिए। हर उम्र की कन्या का अलग रूप है | दो साल की कन्या को कन्या कुमारी, तीन वर्ष की कन्या को त्रिमूर्ति, चार साल की कन्या को कल्याणी, पांच वर्ष की कन्या को रोहिणी, छह साल की कन्या को कालिका, सात वर्ष की कन्या को चंडिका, आठ साल की कन्या को शाम्भवी, नौ साल की कन्या को दुर्गा और 10 साल की कन्या को सुभद्रा का स्वरूप माना जाता है। यही कारण है कि कन्या पूजन के लिए 10 साल से कम उम्र की बच्चियों को ही महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है.
दो वर्ष की कन्या का पूजन करने से घर में दुख और दरिद्रता दूर हो जाती है।
तीन वर्ष की कन्या त्रिमूर्ति का रूप मानी गई हैं। त्रिमूर्ति के पूजन से घर में धन-धान्‍य की भरमार रहती है, वहीं परिवार में सुख और समृद्धि बनी रहती है।
चार साल की कन्या को कल्याणी माना गया है। इनकी पूजा से परिवार का कल्याण होता है, वहीं पांच वर्ष की कन्या रोहिणी का रूप होती हैं। रोहिणी का पूजन करने से निरोगी काया की प्राप्ति होती है।
छह साल की कन्या को काली मां का रूप माना गया है। कालिका रूप से विजय, विद्या और राजयोग मिलता है।
7 साल की कन्या चंडिका होती है। चंडिका रूप को पूजने से घर में ऐश्वर्य की प्राप्ति होती है।
8 वर्ष की कन्याएं शाम्‍भवी कहलाती हैं। इनको पूजने से विवाद में विजय मिलती है।
9 साल की की कन्याएं दुर्गा का रूप होती हैं। इनका पूजन करने से शत्रुओं का नाश हो जाता है और मुश्किल से मुश्किल कार्य भी पूरे हो जाते हैं।
दस साल की कन्या सुभद्रा कहलाती हैं। सुभद्रा अपने भक्तों की सभी इच्छाएंपूरी करती हैं।
कम से कम 9 कन्याओं को पूजन के लिए बुलाना चाहिए,यदि 9 से ज्यादा कन्या भोज पर आ रही है तो कोई आपत्ति नहीं, उनका स्वागत करना चाहिए।

Two year old girl Kanya Kumari, three year old girl Trimurti, four year old girl Kalyani, five year old girl Rohini, six year old girl Kalika, seven year old girl Chandika, eight year old girl Shambhavi, The nine-year-old girl is considered to be the form of Durga and the 10-year-old girl is Subhadra. This is the reason that only girls below 10 years are considered important for the worship of the girl.
Worshiping a two-year-old girl ends sadness and poverty in the house.
The three-year-old girl is considered as Trimurti. With the worship of Trimurti, there is a wealth of wealth in the house, while there is happiness and prosperity in the family.
A four-year-old girl is considered to be Kalyani. Worshiping them leads to the welfare of the family, while a five-year-old girl is a form of Rohini. Worshiping Rohini leads to a healthy body.
A six-year-old girl is considered to be a black mother. Kalika forms Vijay, Vidya and Rajyoga.

8 year old girls are called Shambhavi. Worshiping them leads to victory in the dispute.
9 year old girls are the form of Durga. By worshiping them, enemies are destroyed and even the most difficult tasks are completed.
The ten-year-old girl is called Subhadra. Subhadra fulfills all the wishes of her devotees.
At least 9 girls should be called for worship, if more than 9 girls are coming to the banquet then no objection, they should be welcomed.
