Turkish terror group PKK disbands after 40,000 KILLED over four decades

After over 40 years of conflict with the Turkish state, the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militant group has announced its decision to disband, according to a report by a news agency affiliated with the group on Monday, 12 May.

Since the PKK began its insurgency in 1984, the conflict has resulted in over 40,000 deaths. The PKK is classified as a terrorist organisation by Turkey and its Western allies.
