Sep 5, 2021 - Ride along as I cycle north on Jean Baptiste Point du Sable Lakeshore Drive during the 2021 Bike the Drive. The annual event closes 30 miles of Lakeshore Drive to motor traffic, opening it for bikes. The event is usually held during Memorial Day but was reschedule to Labor Day this year after the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19. This video covers the start of my ride in Grant Park as I ride north along Lake Michigan to Fullerton. It’s amazing how quiet and peaceful the city becomes without cars present.
