Aged 17 at the end of the war, he himself aspired to join the Army Special Attack Corps three times.

After practicing suicide attacks in a Type 99 attack aircraft, he volunteered for a kamikaze attack, but was ordered to a different mission.

On August 13, 1945, the 66th Squadron, to which he belonged, received an order to carry out a kamikaze attack from Kyushu and waited, but the American task force turned back, and the kamikaze attack was canceled, marking the end of the war.

Through Corporal Tsutomu Hayakawa, who was a classmate of his at his alma mater in the Amagi Student Corps, he became friends with the five members, including Hayakawa, and will talk about them.

He also talks about his own experiences, including memories of his instructors and superiors who served with the Shinbu Unit of the Army Special Attack Force, and his classmates with whom he shared meals and sleeping quarters.
