THE MUSKY HUNT EPISODE 2: "Frustration and figure 8's"

In the newest musky fishing episode I once again grab the fly rod and go to one of my favorite musky rivers in search for a musky. This is the same river I caught a musky in the last video so I figured if I caught one musky there surely I could catch another… right? It was either that or I’d slowly lose my mind and want to break my rod over my knee. Either way I was committed to fishing the coolest apex predator freshwater has to offer… Welcome back to another video.

I'm not going to lie I struggled a bit in this video. At least I saw musky, but when you miss 3 fish in 1 day it takes a toll on your mental health. These fish push me to the limits and it's very apparent in this video. I have no idea what to do with the fish once they get into the figure 8 but I need to figure it out. Fly fishing for musky is not for the weak that's for sure!

If you’re a musky fisherman you know how relatable this day was. Because more often than not that’s how it goes. I’ve fished many days for musky where even seeing a fish seemed like a win, so to move 6 or 7 musky was incredible. If it weren’t for the wind and the sour taste in my mouth from the 2 musky eating in the figure 8 I’d have been a happy camper. If you have any advice on actually hooking musky in the figure 8 let me know in the comments below. There is no other fish I’ve targeted that can put me to my breaking point quite like a musky.
