Van life offers freedom, but choosing the wrong overnight parking spot can quickly turn that freedom into a nightmare. After two years on the road, I’ve learned that some locations are best avoided. There are areas where you’re guaranteed a 3 AM police knock and sketchy spots that tend to attract crime. In this guide, I’ll outline the worst overnight parking spots you should avoid. Some of these may appear harmless at first glance. Still, the stress, noise, and safety risks aren’t worth it.
