In this review I am going to check out the 2024 Beats Pill portable Bluetooth speaker. I'll cover all those factors I just touched on and then I'll wrap up both the pros and the cons of this portable speaker so you can see if it might be right for you.

What You Get
Unboxing the Beats Pill you'll see there's not a lot in here; you’ve got the speaker, which measures about 8 by 3 inchhes plus a carrying or hanging lanyard made of thick, braided cord.
There’s a USB-C to USB-C cable that also doubles as a hard wired audio cable for connected listening at hight quality..
If You’re an iPhone user, There’s no companion app, since as a member of the Apple ecosystem, the controls live in your Bluetooth menu.
And there's not much in the menu to look at anyway; you can see detailed battery life, and it will remind you of what the multifunction button will do, as well as allowing you to change the button press sequence if you want.
Lastly, you can see your speaker’s last known location if it gets misplaced.
And for my Android friends, you'll be glad to know this speaker will work seamlessly with your devices also via the Beats app.
Setup and Controls
Set up is easy, Just hold the power button for a few seconds and wait for your phone, tablet, or computer to detect it. Android users will find that in the usual Bluetooth settings area .
My Apple iPhone found the speaker right away via a pop-up, and paired automatically.
When it comes to controls, theres that power button on top; The speaker also has a multifunction button that plays, skips, or answers an incoming call depending how many times you tap it. Finally, theres a pair of volume controls.

The most important aspect of a portable Bluetooth speaker is how it sounds. Fortunatley, Beats’ roots in the music industry (Thanks, Dr Dre) are still there. The speaker cranks, and sounds top notch.


Sound quality
There’s a lot of clarity in the sound, with clear-cutting vocals. More delicate elements of the music tingle, while the bass is ready to bust a cap in your ear.
